FREEBOT
Trabajar con FREEBOT no solo ha sido un privilegio, también una experiencia muy especial. Lo he dicho mil veces: él es una de mis mayores inspiraciones. Y no lo digo solo por su sonido único, sino porque Freebot es una persona súper disciplinada, con la mejor actitud para aprender y, sobre todo, para aplicar lo que aprende. Se nota cómo su música cada vez se nutre más, cómo deja de ser algo simple para convertirse en canciones electrónicas que de verdad quieres escuchar completas.
Como DJ sé que lo más fácil es volverse viral haciendo remixes o rolas tipo “DJ tools”, esas canciones que hemos escuchado mil veces pero solo los primeros 30 o 40 segundos. Lo que está haciendo Freebot ahora son rolas de club complejas, con estructura, con historia… música que pide ser escuchada de principio a fin.
SOLAR representa justo eso: crecimiento, conocimiento, madurez. Muestra el tiempo que Freebot ha invertido en estudiar estos meses, y se nota no solo en sus composiciones, sino también en lo técnico: su mezcla y master han mejorado muchísimo. Además, ahora se toma el tiempo de crear conceptos y relatos que representan su visión artística.
Para mí, este disco es el futuro del tribal mexicano.
En sus palabras FREEBOT nos explica la inspiración y el significado de su disco; "En un mundo erosionado por guerras solares, los últimos descendientes de una civilización mesoamericana resurgen desde las arenas y las ruinas. El Sol, antaño fuente de vida, ahora quema sin piedad, y sus ciclos marcan las guerras ceremoniales entre clanes.
Los guerreros, portando máscaras rituales y danzando sobre terrenos prohibidos, se enfrentan para reclamar acceso a los últimos fragmentos de energía solar. El fuego ya no es símbolo de creación, sino la única vía de redención y dominio.
Las visiones inducidas por humo y canto revelan un destino fragmentado: estatuas antiguas que vuelven a respirar, espejos que devuelven otros rostros, cuerpos danzando sobre la arena ardiente mientras el Sol Negro se aproxima.
El álbum es un registro ritual de esa guerra espiritual y física.
No es historia: es mito vivo."

Working with FREEBOT has not only been a privilege, but also a very special experience. I’ve said it a thousand times: he’s one of my biggest inspirations. And I don’t say that just because of his unique sound, but because Freebot is an incredibly disciplined person, with the best attitude toward learning and, most importantly, applying what he learns. You can clearly hear how his music keeps evolving — how it’s no longer something simple, but has become electronic songs you genuinely want to listen to all the way through.
As a DJ, I know the easiest thing is to make remixes to go viral or what we call “DJ tools”... those tracks we’ve all heard a thousand times but only play for the first 30 or 40 seconds. What Freebot is doing now are complex club tracks, with structure, with a story... music that demands to be listened to from beginning to end.
SOLAR represents exactly that: growth, knowledge, maturity. It reflects the time Freebot has invested in studying these past months, and you can tell not only in his compositions, but also in the technical side — his mixing and mastering have improved immensely. Plus, he now takes the time to create concepts and narratives that represent his artistic vision.
To me, this album is the future of Mexican tribal.
In his own words, FREEBOT explains the inspiration and meaning behind his album:
"In a world eroded by solar wars, the last descendants of a Mesoamerican civilization rise again from the sands and ruins. The Sun, once a source of life, now burns mercilessly, and its cycles mark the ceremonial wars between clans.
Warriors, wearing ritual masks and dancing over forbidden grounds, face each other to claim access to the last fragments of solar energy. Fire is no longer a symbol of creation, but the only path to redemption and power.
Visions induced by smoke and chant reveal a fractured destiny: ancient statues breathing once more, mirrors reflecting other faces, bodies dancing over the burning sand as the Black Sun draws near.
The album is a ritual record of that spiritual and physical war.
It’s not history — it’s living myth."
